Get Hooked!

At Whale Tale Soapworks, I create small-batch, handcrafted products inspired by the ocean and a deep love for the art of natural skincare. What started with beautifully made cold-process soaps has grown into a thriving coastal boutique offering nourishing lip balms, soothing bath salts, and aromatic car diffusers — all designed to bring a touch of seaside serenity to everyday life.
Each soap bar is carefully crafted using a blend of premium oils and rich butters — a combination that produces a creamy lather and leaves skin feeling soft and refreshed. Many of our products are enhanced with gentle fragrances or Mica color for an extra touch of beauty, but the focus is always on quality ingredients and thoughtful craftsmanship. The same care goes into our lip balms, made to keep lips smooth and hydrated, our bath salts that transform your bath into a relaxing ocean escape, and our car diffusers that carry the scent of coastal calm wherever you go.
Whale Tale Soapworks began from a very personal place. After a heartbreaking family tragedy, I searched for a way to remind my family—and myself—that God’s love is deeper than our pain. During a West Coast trip, I booked a whale-watching tour hoping for a moment of peace and perspective. What happened that day changed everything.
As the captain explained how the whales surface for air before diving deep, we watched the horizon with anticipation. My daughter wondered aloud if a whale might come right up to the boat. Seconds later, an enormous gray whale surfaced beside us—so close I could have reached out and touched her. She was about eight feet in diameter and forty feet long, floating effortlessly through the water. The captain, awestruck, said he had never seen so much marine life on a single tour. It was a breathtaking moment, one filled with awe, gratitude, and renewal.
That experience was the spark that led to Whale Tale Soapworks. It reminded me that beauty, hope, and faith can resurface even after life’s deepest dives. Every product I create carries a bit of that story—a reminder to find wonder in the small things, to breathe deeply, and to get hooked on the simple joy of God's creation.
